Wind Rating & Setup Advice

Many awnings fail when the wind picks up. Thanks to its sturdy construction, the 30 Second Wing Awning can handle a strong breeze and steady wind without poles and ropes in normal conditions.

As a guide, we recommend using the additional support poles and guy ropes when winds reach around 10–15 knots. Wind can change quickly, and gusts can arrive without warning — so always use your discretion and add support if conditions look unstable.

Tip: For extra stability, park your vehicle facing into the wind to create down pressure on the awning. With the right setup, you can stay comfortable and shaded even when others are packing up.
